Three motorsailer models were designed for Siltala Yachts of Finland and sold under the name of Nauticat. This is the second. In each case these motorsailers were developed for Nautor Swan, also of Finland, and in each case the design was taken up by Siltala Yachts and produced in a slightly modified form.
The Nautor 43, design #2399, was produced between 1976 and 1979 with 24 hulls delivered. Not a bad production run. Production began at Siltala Yachts of the modified design in 1983 and ended in 1999 with 94 hulls delivered, a very good production run.
