Design 1761 Sumbra

Heres another beauty from Cantiere Sangermani of Lavagna, Italy. Sumbra was designed to rate under the R.O.R.C. Rule. She is a big, powerful, ocean racing sloop. Note the coffee grinder on the aft deck.

The boat is constructed of wood using Iroko for longitudinal structural members, Movinguo and Acacia for transverse frames (laminated) and double planked in mahogany. Fasteners are of Silicon Bronze.

Many Sangermani boats can be found in these pages. Simply use the search engine within the blog to find them.

Here are the plans.
